Privacy Policy
Last updated — August 2, 2026
This policy covers the Tiqi mobile app and tiqiapp.com when you use them as a patient or customer — to join a queue, book an appointment, or follow your place in line. Clinics, labs and other businesses using the Tiqi dashboard are covered by their own agreement with us.
What we collect
We collect only what is needed to hold your place and tell you when it is your turn.
- Your name and phone number, so the practice knows who is booked and can identify you when you arrive.
- A verification code sent to your phone when you sign up, to confirm the number is yours.
- Your preferred language, so reminders arrive in a language you read.
- A notification token issued by Apple or Google, which lets us send a push to your device. It identifies the installation, not you.
- Your bookings: which practice and service, the ticket number, the scheduled time, its status, and whether you replied "I am here" or "running late".
- Any review you choose to leave, including the rating and comment.
- A record that a reminder was sent to your number and whether the link in it was opened, so we can tell a delivered reminder from a lost one.
- Whether you have opted in to occasional messages from a practice you have visited.
Location
The app asks for your location only when you choose to sort practices by distance. The coordinates are sent with that search so results can be ranked by how near they are, and they are not written to our database or kept afterwards.
You can refuse the permission. Search, booking, queues and notifications all work without it.
Camera
The camera is used for one thing: reading a queue QR code. The image is processed on your device and never uploaded or stored.
How we use it
To place you in a queue or an appointment slot, to notify you as your turn approaches, to let the practice identify you at the counter, and to keep the service working. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see it
The practice you booked with can see your name, your phone number, and the bookings you made with that practice. A practice cannot see your bookings anywhere else.
Other people in the queue never see your details. Public waiting-room screens show ticket numbers only.
Services we rely on
We use a small number of providers to run the service. They process data on our instructions and for no purpose of their own.
- Supabase — database, authentication and file storage.
- Vercel — hosting for tiqiapp.com.
- Expo, together with Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of push notifications.
- WhatsApp Business, operated by Meta — only when the practice you booked with sends reminders by WhatsApp, and only your phone number and the appointment details in the message.
- Google Maps — map display and directions.
How long we keep it
Your account and profile are kept until you ask us to delete them.
Booking records are kept as part of the practice’s own records of who it has seen.
Phone verification codes expire within minutes.
Your notification token is removed when the push service tells us the app has been uninstalled.
Deleting your account
You can delete your Tiqi account yourself, at any time: in the app under Profile → Delete account, or at tiqiapp.com/account-deletion if you no longer have the app installed. Deletion is immediate. If you cannot use either route, email privacy@tiqiapp.com with the phone number the account used and we will complete the request within 30 days.
Deleting your account removes your name, phone number, notification tokens and marketing preference. Past bookings are kept by the practice as its own record of visits, with your name removed so they can no longer be traced back to you.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or have it deleted. Your name and language can be changed in the app at any time. For anything else, email privacy@tiqiapp.com.
Children
Tiqi is not intended for children under 16. An adult can book on a child’s behalf, in which case the booking is held under the adult’s account.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
